Private Tennis Coaching
Private lessons are undertaken by Head Tennis Coach Martyn Bailey MSc or Pete Reynolds (BA) Hons. Martyn is a level 4 LTA Senior Performance Coach with over 10 years coaching experience following a semi-professional playing career. Martyn is also a fully qualified Sports Performance Psychologist who has experience working with sports people from many different sports, including tennis, rugby, golf, cycling and table tennis. Pete has an education in Sport and Fitness, and studied Sports Therapy, Sports Science, and has a BA(hons) Degree in Leisure Management. As a lifelong tennis player, Pete has represented the Isle of Wight for the past 24 years, and is a 5 time Island Junior Singles and Doubles Champion, and a multiple Island Singles and Doubles Mens Champion, most recently in 2018. Each private lesson is individually tailored to ensure maximum improvement. Players’ games are thoroughly assessed, from a technical and tactical point of view, and corrections and enhancements are addressed. Players will have a greater understanding of what to work on whenever they play. Private tennis coaching is also a great idea for those who are learning tennis for the first time. The coach can teach you the basics so you can get up to speed quickly, and join a group of other same level players.
