Join our Creative Art Workshops!

We are delighted to welcome talented Island artist Kitty Wingate to the West Bay Country Club this summer. Kitty will be running a series of Creative Art Workshops throughout August including Paper Art, Sketching & Watercolour classes and Bespoke Workshops. Kitty is a local artist with 10 years’ experience in art education. She has a background in contemporary sculpture but works across media, using the environment around her to inspire her work.

Paper Art Workshops

Perfect for children, or the young at heart! Make your own paper kite, bird, butterfly or boat sculpture to take away with you at the end of the session. Sessions will run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9-11am, starting from Tuesday 30th  July and cost just £5 per person. This workshop is suitable for children aged 6 and over. Why not drop the kids off at the art workshop, leaving you with some precious me time to enjoy the pool, workout in the gym, take a class or just take some time to relax and unwind.

Sketching & Watercolour Classes

These classes are suitable for complete beginners through to more experienced artists and will run on Wednesday afternoons (starting from 31st July), from 2-5pm and are priced at £30 per person. Sessions may be run outside or off-site depending on the weather. All materials will be provided. These classes are not suitable for those aged under 12.

Bespoke Workshops

Kitty also runs Bespoke Workshops for individuals or smaller groups where you can choose from a range of creative activities including drawing, sketching, watercolours, sculptures or printmaking. These workshops can be arranged to best suit your diary. Please contact our Country Club team for more details. All levels

These classes have been specifically designed to allow participants to work at their own intensity level, with the ability to modify all exercises according to their own personal fitness.

Beginner

A person new to training or an individual with below average fitness levels can be termed as a beginner. These classes are also suitable for those returning to exercise after a break/injury.

Intermediate

A person training at intermediate level should have a fair amount of base fitness and coordination and thus can be exposed to a higher intensity workout.

Advanced

At an advanced level, the participant should have experience in subjecting themselves to high intensity training on a regular basis. Every person starting off as a beginner should aspire to reach this level.

Online booking is available for members for classes, activities and spa treatments.
