Join us to train for and complete Walk The Wight, Carisbrooke to Alum Bay!

We are putting a group together for those that wish to complete Walk the Wight (Carisbrooke to Alum Bay route) on 10th May. We would love as many of you as possible to join us!

Starting from Monday 23rd March, Larni will be running a 7 Week Walk the Wight Training Programme  - the programme will include fitness sessions as well as tips and advice too.

The Carisbrooke to Alum Bay route is 14 miles, so this is a great challenge for anyone looking to improve their fitness with walking and have fun getting to know and socialising with other members at the same time!

Training consists of one group session a week challenge plus recommendations for additional training that will help you get the most out of the challenge. 

Larni will be hosting Informal Challenge Briefings: Monday 16th March, 10:30 – 11:00 & Wednesday 18th March 17:45 – 18:15 in The Wellness Hub. This is a great opportunity to hear a little more about the challenge, the training programme and what’s involved.

You must sign up to the 7 week challenge by Saturday 21st March.

The 7 Week Walk the Wight Training Programme costs £6.50 per session. N.B. Participants will need to organise their own entry and joining fee with Walk The Wight directly.

All levels

These classes have been specifically designed to allow participants to work at their own intensity level, with the ability to modify all exercises according to their own personal fitness.

Beginner

A person new to training or an individual with below average fitness levels can be termed as a beginner. These classes are also suitable for those returning to exercise after a break/injury.

Intermediate

A person training at intermediate level should have a fair amount of base fitness and coordination and thus can be exposed to a higher intensity workout.

Advanced

At an advanced level, the participant should have experience in subjecting themselves to high intensity training on a regular basis. Every person starting off as a beginner should aspire to reach this level.

Online booking is available for members for classes, activities and spa treatments.
