NEW Cardio Tennis

A little different from our other tennis sessions, Cardio Tennis is a great fitness workout.  If you enjoy group exercise classes like spinning, you will love this too! What is Cardio Tennis? Cardio Tennis is a fun, sociable group fitness class set on a tennis court and open to people of all ages and abilities. Supported by music, players will get to hit lots of tennis balls during the class and have a great cardio workout at the same time.  The 60 minute class consists of a short warm up and cool down either side of a 40 minute full body workout. Warm up - dynamic stretching, skills and drills to get body warm and mind sharp before the workout begins Aerobic section -  your chance to hit loads of shots, including forehands, backhands, serves and volleys, all mixed with a variety of fitness activities Tennis section - Put shots into practice with fun tennis games Cool down-  time to recover and stretch What are the benefits?
  • You can burn more calories doing Cardio Tennis than playing singles or doubles
  • Cardio Tennis is for anyone, it does not matter if you have never picked up a racquet before
  • The session is about the workout not about improving technique or tactics

All levels

These classes have been specifically designed to allow participants to work at their own intensity level, with the ability to modify all exercises according to their own personal fitness.

Beginner

A person new to training or an individual with below average fitness levels can be termed as a beginner. These classes are also suitable for those returning to exercise after a break/injury.

Intermediate

A person training at intermediate level should have a fair amount of base fitness and coordination and thus can be exposed to a higher intensity workout.

Advanced

At an advanced level, the participant should have experience in subjecting themselves to high intensity training on a regular basis. Every person starting off as a beginner should aspire to reach this level.

Online booking is available for members for classes, activities and spa treatments.
