Part I: Electric Woods: Spirit of the Orient

electric woods - SOTO - Dragon procession in woodland ponds With so many studio classes,  pampering spa treatments and children’s activities on offer, there’s more than enough to do at West Bay to fill your whole Half Term break. However, no trip to the Isle of Wight is complete if you don’t venture further afield – there are so many great events for families to get involved in! Opening especially for Half Term, the Electric Woods at Robin Hill Adventure Park in Newport is a stunning display of light, sound and entertainment. Set in the heart of the park’s mystical woodland, the treetop canopy provides the perfect backdrop for a celebration with an eastern twist. To mark the arrival of Chinese New Year, the woods will be decorated with an oriental theme, and as dusk falls, the vibrant array of lanterns and flags will come to life. The Golden Oriole Bridge, complete with cascading waters, and the tranquil marble temple, will immerse visitors in this cheerful celebration of eastern culture. There will be Chinese-themed entertainment, including a traditional lion dance which is packed with choreography, light and sound effects. And with an interactive Dragon Procession for children, which includes a fearsome 12m long dragon costume, there really is something for everyone! Visitors can enjoy a menu of authentic Chinese dishes such as sweet ‘n’ sour chicken, sizzling noodles and Chinese fritters. To cap your evening, why not toast a few marshmallows over the open brazier for dessert? The Spirit of the Orient is open every evening (5-9 pm) from the 13th to the 21st of February, and is sure to make your Half Term getaway completely unforgettable. All levels

These classes have been specifically designed to allow participants to work at their own intensity level, with the ability to modify all exercises according to their own personal fitness.

Beginner

A person new to training or an individual with below average fitness levels can be termed as a beginner. These classes are also suitable for those returning to exercise after a break/injury.

Intermediate

A person training at intermediate level should have a fair amount of base fitness and coordination and thus can be exposed to a higher intensity workout.

Advanced

At an advanced level, the participant should have experience in subjecting themselves to high intensity training on a regular basis. Every person starting off as a beginner should aspire to reach this level.
