Part II: Priory Bay Beach

Next

Priory Bay West Bay is the perfect base from which to explore the Island, with miles of pathways and cycle routes available right on your doorstep. But for those looking to go a little further, the Isle of Wight is full of beautiful, undisturbed spots just waiting to be discovered. Located to the east between the villages of Seaview and St. Helens, Priory Bay Beach is an excellent example. Sheltered by woodland, the bay has a secluded, sylvan charm, and is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a picnic or barbecue. Children can spend hours playing games on the wide and expansive sandy beach, or investigating the rock pools, making it an ideal option for families. The bay can be accessed via the coastal paths from Seaview or St. Helens, and is at its best at low tide. Known locally as one of the most beautiful beaches on the Island, we recommend that visitors check the tide forecast here to ensure they can enjoy their experience to the fullest, and take a picnic lunch to enjoy too! We’re sure it will quickly become one of your firm favourites.
