The Island-Wide Great Food Guide: Ventnor Haven Fishery, Ventnor

haven-720 Situated on the esplanade at Ventnor, the Ventnor Haven Fishery is a fantastic spot to grab a Great British classic: fish and chips. You can choose from a variety of freshly-caught fish, which is lightly battered and served with a generous helping of hand-cut, chunky chips. With a menu that changes according to that day’s catch, it doesn't get much fresher, and is a sure-fire family favourite. As well as fresh fish, this popular fishery serves up its own signature dish: crab or lobster on chips. Once featured on Mary Berry’s Foolproof Cooking, this upmarket take on a seaside staple was described as a decadent, delicious treat. The fresh sea air and picturesque setting make the Ventnor Haven Fishery a go-to destination for families and couples to take in the Island’s idyllic beauty. For a truly authentic Island experience, why not sit on the haven wall and look out over the water as you enjoy your meal?
